The line to get into the Boston Derby Dames Shamrock Showdown on St. Patrick’s Day:

Two minutes after this picture, a Dame came out and announced that they were sold out. Sold out! And after I rode the E line with all those undergrad trixies! When all I wanted was to see some badass chicks skating and maybe throwing elbows (Is that allowed? Not according to the Roller Derby Preservation Association).

Instead we did what everyone does on March 17: ordered Thai food and discussed lawnmower repair.
