The twelve injuries of Christmas

December 30th, 2004 | All the rest

It's been awhile since I rapped at ya because we've been pretty wrapping presents and watching holiday specials over here in the drinkerthinker-Sidesh0w household. And I've been busy getting myself hurt.

An allergic reaction while seeding (de-seeding? Removing the seeds from…) a jalapeño pepper. Mom suggests putting my face in the freezer to numb the pain in my nose; it does not work. Neither does cold water on the nose, inhaling cold water, or plastering it with a cold washcloth.

Highlights in the present department include a knitting needle case by The Organized Knitter (in "sushi") from Mom and a couple great ThinkGeek shirts from The Boy (this one and this one). The day is nicely rounded out by burning myself on a roasting pan, requiring me to eat dinner with one hand wrapped in a cold towel.

Three days since last injury!

Pinched my finger in the car seatbelt buckle. Shut up, it's more interesting than another painless day (for the sake of this post, anyway).

A few Christmas photos are on the way. I am working on another special photography project, too, which will take longer to get online.

In the immortal words of Krusty the Clown, internet, I hope you had a merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, a kwaazy Kwanza, a tip-top Tet, and a solemn and dignified Ramadan.
