Show me the way to go home
October 26th, 2004 | Travel…I'm tired and I want to go to bed.
I did such a good job at the conference. I didn't spend inordinate amounts of time in my hotel room (except upon the event of waking up at 5:00 PDT). I didn't skip meals, didn't substitute peanut butter crackers in place of meals (did pack them in case of emergency), and only ate a chewy granola bar for breakfast once (again, I cite "5:00 PDT"). I ate every meal out with colleagues, and even initiated a couple of those excursions.
But now I am all out of social drive and ready for tomorrow's flight. Tonight it is packing, room service, and the Sox game, since it isn't rained out. Just a couple more talks in the morning I want to hear, then I'm homeward bound.
I have yet to get around to posting more photos, so here instead is a selection from the room service breakfast menu:
lo-carb super sunrise, 1g (net carb counts) $13.50
A healthy start to a busy day begins with a grilled hamburger, seared Canadian bacon, apple-wood smoked bacon and southern style sausage. Served with a scrambled egg topped with cheddar cheese and Italian parsley.
Comes with your choice of beverage and complimentary dose of Lipitor.
